Welcome to Dallas. Land of Choke.

For now, I'll have to look back upon my fond memories from elementary school. Why is this? Those were the glory days. The big three Aikman, Smith, and Irvin. Who won three Superbowls in four years in '92, '93, and '95. You also have the Stars' late nineties Stanley Cup win. But who really cares about hockey south of Minnesota? Last year the Dallas Mavericks took a spot in history with the 8th best record in NBA history. They finished with a whopping 67 wins and only 15 losses. Only to run into their own worst nightmare in the first round, the Golden State Warriors. The Mavs lost the series 4-2 and took an early trip to Sandals for the off-season. What does the great city of Dallas follow that performance up with? A 13-3 season from the Dallas Cowboys that claimed the top seed in the NFC and home field advantage throughout. That was until they ran into a better prepared, hungrier, and meaner New York Giants team. The Cowboys, who looked to have control of the game just before half, went into the locker room tied after their defense failed time and time again giving up 7 points to the Giants. The blistering offense that had been praised so highly during the regular season managed to put up a whopping 3 points in the second half. Maybe Romo should have spent some more times going over coverages and checkdowns rather than smooching up the ugly one of the Simpson sisters in Cabo.

So what do we do as Dallas sports fans for now? Enjoy the regular season, then take a vacation, just as our sports teams do, during the postseason.
